Representative Projects and  Studies

The links at the bottom of this page will take you to three projects/studies that illustrate Dr. Walberg's experience and capabilities.

While working for NASA, Dr. Walberg served as Chairman of the Reentry Subpanel of the Interagency Nuclear Safety Reviews for the LES 8 and 9, Voyager and Galileo missions. After establishing Walberg Aerospace he was hired by Rocketdyne to lead the reentry analyses for the Multi-Mission Radioisotoope Thermoelectric Generator (MMRTG) program. The link below will take you to a Power Point  presentation summarizing Dr. Walberg's analyses. Some slides load slowly so please be patient.

Working under contract to NASA, Dr. Walberg contributed to the Revolutionary Aerospace Concepts Program by carring out studies of advanced concepts that held promise for breakthroughs in space exploration. One of these studies adderssed fusion propulsion.

In October, 2007 Dr. Walberg was selected to be a member of a National Research Council committee to review NASA's restructured Exploration Technology Development Program (ETDP). The link below will take you to the National Academies Press web site where a summary of  this study is available in PDF format.
